In this thoughtful STEM with Soul mission, students explore how the way we spend our time shapes the lives we live. Inspired by Lillian Moller Gilbreth's innovative work and Byrd Baylor's The Table Where Rich People Sit, they'll collect and organize time data, then create a visual display that reveals how everyday activities contribute to a rich and meaningful life.
Through meaningful discussions, engaging data investigations, and creative design challenges, this lesson strengthens data literacy while nurturing freedom, personal fulfillment, and wisdom.
Students will discover that graphs can tell a story—but it's up to us to decide what makes that story truly valuable.
