🛠️ Engineer a place for people to gather!

Students discover how thoughtful design can create spaces where everyone feels welcome. Inspired by the work of master furniture designer George Nakashima and the heartwarming story All We Need, they'll explore what makes a table strong, stable, and efficient before engineering a model table with room for six people or objects using as few materials as possible.

Through hands-on engineering, creative problem-solving, and meaningful discussions, this STEM with Soul lesson helps students strengthen design skills while developing caring, generosity, and gratitude.

Students will discover that the best designs don't just support weight—they create places where people can gather, share, and belong.
